The Art of Cabaret le Fey: A Gallery Showcase by Julianna Rose
Julianna Rose is a young visual artist living in Los Angeles. Working with oil as well as ink and pastel, her work centers on feminine beauty in a mystical, ethereal realm. Julianna’s collaboration with Cabaret le Fey was an intuitive, organic process where the backstory of each dancer’s stage character provided inspiration for the portrait. Allowing for supernatural characteristics, each dancer’s style, personality, and sensual appeal is depicted in unmistakeable resplendence.
And a few days later, when shit REALLY started getting messed up.
Now some things are reaching a fever pitch.
What better time to come together as a community of artists with something to say?
Sunday November 5th, join True Focus Theater, Cabaret le Fey, and special guests as we express ourselves, raise our voices against oppression and hate, raise money for a good cause, and have a great time.
Yes, we take a knee.
Yes, we fight the patriarchy.
Yes, we use preferred pronouns.
Yes, we hate bigotry.
The evening will feature burlesque, dance, spoken word, and a variety of performances relating to the current socio-political climate.

PAY WHAT YOU CAN
Half the proceeds go to More Than “No”.
Half the proceeds go to True Focus Theater (which helps to cover the cost of the space, equipment, and concessions).
OUTrage is True Focus Theater‘s department of social activism by way of art and fundraising.
– On January 20th we held Anti-Inauguration Day in protest of bigotry and oppression. Together we raised more than $730 for Planned Parenthood.
– On March 24th we raised money for the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
It’s a scrappy punk rock evening of feminist dance, spoken word, being out, and refusing to be silent!
More Than “No” is an outreach and educational group aimed at championing consent-culture through artistic activism. More than “NO” believes an open dialogue about rape, sexual violence, and consent needs to be a common occurrence in order to eradicate it from our society. They offer educational workshops and peer support groups for survivors and allies. More Than “No” also produces “Cabaret Con-Sensual”, which provides survivors and allies a space to express themselves through the performing arts.
